TC 4.4 is concerned with the requirements and overall performance of the building envelope as it relates to: 1) heat, air and moisture related properties of building materials 2) fundamental heat, air and moisture transport processes of assemblies; 3) interactions with interior conditions and HVAC systems.
If you would like to become involved with the committee, please attend one of our meetings that take place during the ASHRAE Annual and Summer meetings, or contact the Chair of the Committee. New members are always welcome! Most of the work for the TC takes place during the subcommittee meetings, so please attend those meetings to get involved in the activities of the committee.

William B. Rose made ASHRAE Fellow
Congratulations to William B. Rose, Research Architect at the Universality of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on being made an ASHRAE Fellow. The Fellow Grade of membership recognizes exceptional contributions which distinguish the member. Fellow ASHRAE is a membership grade that recognizes distinction in the arts and sciences of environmental technology and is earned through achievement as a researcher, designer, educator or engineering executive. Bill is a long time member and contributor to ASHRAE TC 4.4 especially as Handbook Chair and chapter reviser. Congratulations Bill.
